G-cloud gets Win Server 2016

Google's added Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Edition to its Google Compute Engine.

The cloud challenger now lets you spin up VMs with Windows Server 2016 pre-installed. There's also new images for SQL Server Standard, Web or Express on Windows Server 2016. Google also offers those versions of SQL server, in 2012, 2014 and 2016 editions, in Windows Server 2012.

On the menu for future deployment is SQL Server Enterprise (2012, 2014, 2016) with Windows Server 2012 or 2016. ®
