France, I am in you, says HPE's EMEA channel overlord

Gilles Thiebaut says oui oui to country manager's job

Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s outgoing EMEA channel chief Gilles Thiebaut is to take control of the firm’s country operations in France, El Reg can confirm.

EMEA overlord Andy Isherwood last week said he was slotting senior execs into some new roles and that Carlo Giorgio was to take the lead on channel, SMB and service provider organisation.

The next role for Thiebaut was clarified to staff in a memo that was seen by The Register.

“Effective November 1, Gilles Thiebaut will be the new Enterprise Group Leader and Managing Director for France with full responsibility for the HPE business in France,” the missive stated.

In other moves, HPE is creating a data centre and hybrid IT group run by Iain Stephen - this represents one of the big areas for the firm, alongside software defined stuff and edge systems.

Chief techie for EMEA David Chalmers will head up pre-sales, the technology group and biz development in a bid to package “repeatable solutions” for its systems.

The fourth HPE business group across the region will involve building specific IP for verticals by leaning on Alliance technology partners. ®
