iOS update kills jailbreak

Apple has issued iOS 9.3.4, an update for iThings it says kills off a bug that allows any application to potentially "execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.”

The update also addresses a “memory corruption issue” and fixes it with “improved memory handling.”

Nasty stuff. But also stuff on which the Pangu jailbreak depends, so the update won't be welcome by all.

The new version of the OS will work on the iPhone 4s and later, iPad 2 and later, or the iPod touch (5th generation) and later. ®
