Spectra Logic sits in the Cyberducking stool

If it quacks like a Cyberduck.....it can swim in many different ponds

Spectra has entered the Cyberduck universe; data stored in Spectra Logic's disk, tape and public cloud repositories can be transferred to/from other on-premises storage and public clouds with a BlackPearl Cyberduck plug-in.

Cyberduck is an open source software tool that provides a near-universal file/object transfer facility

With Cyberduck, customers can move data between local file systems, remote FTP systems, Amazon S3 and Glacier, Google Cloud Storage and Drive, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace Cloudfiles and iRODS. Each system can be loaded in its own Cyberduck window and data moved between any of them.

This is now supported as a client by Spectra's BlackPearl object storage gateway. The gateway moves and manages data stored in on-premises nearline disk, tape libraries and the public cloud, and Cyberduck extends its reach significantly.

Spectra customers get direct drag-and-drop data moves between BlackPearl objects in Spectra’s ArcticBlue disk or tape libraries, and multiple online cloud object stores.

Cyberduck version 5.0 is a standalone app for Windows PC and MAC platforms and can be downloaded directly from the Cyberduck website or Spectra Logic’s Developer page and is free for Spectra customers. ®
