Apple posts patches

Apple has issued a handful of security updates for Safari, OS X, iOS, watchOS and tvOS.

The security updates include patches for several flaws in WebKit, the browser engine Apple uses as the basis for Safari, iOS and tvOS. Those flaws included remote code execution and data disclosure vulnerabilities. Other patched components include MapKit and OpenGL.

For Safari and OS X, the updates can be obtained through the software update utility, while iOS users can get the fix over the air or by synching with a desktop via iTunes. tvOS users will also get the update over their network connection, and Apple Watch owners will update their firmware through the Watch iOS app. ®
