Linus Torvalds says Linux 4.6rc5 is so stable the usual rc7 may not happen.
“rc5 is bigger than rc4 was, but rc4 really was tiny,” writes the Lord Of Linux. “ If things continue this way, this might be one of those rare releases that don't even get to rc7. At least that's how it feels now, although to be honest I suspect that even if things continue this calm I'd do the normal rc7 just because there's no particular hurry or reason not to.”
