Linux kernel 4.6-rc4 lands

The new Linux Kernel release candidate may cure insomnia.

So says Linus Torvalds on the Linux Kernel Mailing list, where he says the shortlog of changes is "appended for people who are having a hard time falling asleep."

Torvalds says there are "Changes all over the tree, with drivers (40%) and architecture fixes (30%) being the bulk of it."

"The rest is scattered all over, but it's all pretty small."

"So there really isn't anything particularly interesting here. Just like I like it in the rc series. Let's hope it stays that way." ®
