R+SQL tutorials released

Microsoft's GitHubbed tutorials to teach R to SQL Server 2016 Services users.

Posted in Redmond's GitHub channel here, the training docs are designed to help devs build analytics based on the language Microsoft bought last year.

There's docs and examples for building models in the R IDE, but getting SQL Server to do the computing work; and deployment examples to help you roll out the results.

Machine learning fans should probably check back into the repo regularly. There are four on the list at the moment (for predictive maintenance, customer churn prediction, purchase fraud detection, and energy demand forecasting), and Microsoft promises more to come. ®
