Web developers: Special guests will give you a leg-up to Azure

Promo Microsoft’s weekly Get Started with Azure webinars will be hosting a number of special guests this month.

Technical evangelist Steve Planky Plank’s Azure Weekly Webinars are aimed at techies who have not had much exposure to Azure, but are keen to get a leg-up onto the platform.

The sessions run every Tuesday from 12.30 to 13.30 and are focused around:

• Creating a Microsoft Azure WordPress website
• Creating a Microsoft Azure ASP.Net website
• Creating a Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine
• Creating a Microsoft Azure Mobile Services (with Android client)
• Creating a Microsoft Azure Cloud Service
• How to sign up for a free Microsoft Azure Trial subscription

On 21 October, the main session will be followed by an Intro to Web Apps from fellow Microsoft tech evangelist Martin Beeby. You can sign up for the session here.

The 28 October session will feature by a guest presentation from Scaboodle on “Building a Cloud Business. Here’s where you go to find out more.

Once that has whet your appetite you’ll be gagging to join Microsoft technical evangelist Martin Beeby on October 30 when he incorporates highlights from the recent Web Camp into an introductory Webinar, “Building Websites with Azure”.

This will cover how to use tools in Visual Studio to deploy websites onto Azure. You should walk away know “everything you need to know about getting up and running and developing web applications in Azure.” Full details here.®
