Just like Elvis, dead Steve Jobs to appear all over America in 2015

Your chance to lick Apple baron's backside

A highly-sensitive leaked US government document reveals Steve Jobs will appear all over America in 2015.

The memo comes from the perforation-happy Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee, an agency “tasked with evaluating the merits of all stamp proposals.”

The document, uncovered by the Washington Post, reveals that Jobs will be among those depicted on the 2015 range of collectible postage stamps.

A design for the stamp is yet to be decided. Jobs was infamously picky about design and chose the cover for his own biography. As he is currently pining for the fjords and therefore unable to exercise any influence over the stamp, it will be interesting to see how he is depicted.

The list also reveals a series of stamps depicting “Science Fiction” writers has been approved for 2015. The 2013 passing of Frederik Pohl and Jack Vance mean that series will have titans worthy of the honour.

Celebrities often appear on US stamps, perhaps most famously in 1993 when Elvis Presley adorned one. Unlike Presley, Jobs has not been sighted in obscure truck stops around the nation. ®
