CSC's selfless offer to new QLD government

CSC has marked the election of a new government in the Australian state of Queensland by selflessly offering to do some work for it. Preferably in the healthcare sector.

The giant integrator let it's kind intentions be known through a press release it emitted at 2:03 AM on Sunday morning - just eight hours after polls closed. In the release, National Director for Healthcare Lisa Pettigrew congratulated the incoming Liberal National Party government and said "We look forward to working” with it.

She then pointed out that the party's “policy statements around revitalising Queensland’s front line health services and delivering better infrastructure are encouraging for patients and clinicians,” adding that “We eagerly await the detail of their new comprehensive health plan to improve access for all Queenslanders and look forward to learning more about what the LNP intends to do in the health sector.”

For good measure she pointed out that "CSC has worked with many new governments around the implementation of state and regional eHealth programs. We welcome the opportunity to assist the new Queensland Government review and optimise information technology and eHealth investments to deliver better outcomes for patients and clinicians across Queensland”.

CSC appears not to have any major healthcare engagements in Queensland at present. And the press release does not mention this botched project in the UK.®
