Movie model maker pitches steampunk iPhone case
Prop forward
Fancy giving your iPhone that steampunk look? Here's a case that will do just that.
Created by SFX designer and model maker Paul Marsh, it clips on to the back of an iPhone 4, with suitable spaces for all the buttons, connectors and such.
Says Paul: "The master of these cases was built from hand-picked watch and clock parts, assembled and then moulded in platinum silicone. They are then cast in a durable UV-stable Polyurethane resin impregnated with metal powders.
There's also a 'rusted' version, in which brass, bronze, copper and iron powder make for a "perfectly realistic metal rusting and corroding patinas".
Paul is selling the cases on eBay for £30 a pop - the rusted version is £35 - including P&P. ®
