Hostworks in NSW Food Authority win

Name-and-shame list gets new home

Broadcast Australia-owned Hostworks has won a government contract with The NSW Food Authority to manage digital media operations for its online presence.

Hostworks will provide a portfolio of services to the Authority, including its utility computing platform, a service-comprising infrastructure, and management tools to ensure scalability and availability. Hostworks will deliver, design, implement and manage critical online operations for its key websites (including the NSW FA’s name-and-shame list of food vendors that have been issued with penalty notices).

The organisation works with consumers, industry and other government bodies to minimise food poisoning by providing information about and regulating the safe production, storage, transport, promotion and preparation of food.

The Authority operates three websites that deliver a range of information. The sites help the organisation to interface with 55,000 food businesses in NSW in order to better investigate complaints and cases of food poisoning. ®
