The Project Management survival guide

El Reg talks PM with Lastminute.com and friends

Webcast On Wednesday 24th Nov at 1pm we’ll be talking about some of the latest trends in project and program management and discussing the practicalities of project delivery over the coming decade.

Along the way, we'll be considering the management of user expectation and involvement, as well as how to deal with commonly encountered dependencies between traditional IT disciplines as a result of on-going convergence.

We’ve got Reg reader and Lastminute.com IT director of transformation, Terry Dewhurst, joining us in our studio next week to talk about project management. He’ll be joining the inimitable Tim Phillips from El Reg, along with Dale Vile from Freeform Dynamics and Bob Walker – another massively experienced PM – to run us through his and other practices of Project Management.

Terry has built himself a pretty serious reputation when it comes to project management in all its shapes and sizes. He has a raft of successful major projects under his belt and is currently centralising the portfolio, programme and project management functions of Lastminute.com. Suffice to say, he knows his PM Onions.

So, if you are seasoned project manager thinking that things seem to be getting harder, or someone new to the game looking for pointers beyond the text book, tune in and listen to our panel of experts from Freeform Dynamics and Microsoft reviewing principles, practices and the role of technology in this highly important area.

You can register for free right here. Do bring some questions along with you too, the more you ask, the better these things will be. And remember, if you can't make it to the live event, register today and we'll email you when the recorded version is available. ®
