Scarlett Johansson unleashes voracious sexuality in steamy alien film

Hollywood star gets Under the Skin

Delightful news reaches us that the svelte and rather lovely Scarlett Johansson will be starring as a “ruthless alien seductress” in an upcoming sci-fi film entitled Under the Skin.

Jonathan Glazer, the writer and director of the excellent Sexy Beast, is fronting FilmNation’s British production, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The company said the Lost in Translation, Ghost World and Iron Man 2 star will play “an alien on earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerising woman”.

According to the script’s steamy blurb, Johansson’s character “scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey – her voracious sexuality.”

Glazer co-wrote the film script with Walter Campbell, and production is expected to get underway in late spring next year. The movie is based on Michael Faber's novel of the same name.

Apparenty, Johansson’s alien form won’t simply ooze sexiness.

“She is deadly efficient, but over time becomes drawn to and changed by the complexity of life on earth. With this new-found humanity and weakening alien resolve, she finds herself on a collision course with her own kind. Taking her point of view throughout, the film presents a unique look at our world through alien eyes.”
