PARIS HAS LANDED!!! Epic supra-atmos flight ends

The Register's epic project to launch a cutting-edge spaceplane fashioned entirely from paper and piloted by an intrepid plastic playmonaut - dubbed PARIS* in honour of our favourite socialite and inadvertent porn star - has come to an end.

The main balloon payload launch module is now stationary on a hillside above thick woods outside the small town of Pelayos de la Presa in central Spain, following a flight which saw it soar to almost 90,000 feet above sea level.

Location data for the actual paper spaceplane Vulture One, which was intended to release from the main module and glide down to glory separately, are unclear. It remains uncertain where the spaceplane may be or indeed whether payload separation was successfully achieved.

Our intrepid field team have made a temporary halt at Avila after an early, desperate pursuit dash to try and gather more telemetry and for much-needed refreshments.
