Firefox fixes stability bug

Now with less crashing

By John Leyden, 16 Sep 2010

Mozilla has pushed out a new version of its Firefox browser designed to fix a stability issue with the previous version of the open source application.

Some users of Firefox 3.6.9, released on 7 September, experienced crash problems, particularly on start-up. In response, Mozilla suspended the automatic rollout of the browser software while it worked out kinks in the code.

Firefox 3.6.10, a cross-platform update for Windows, Apple and Linux, concentrates solely on making sure the browser is more stable, and does not include any of the performance tweaks, bug fixes or extra features typical of new versions of the browser.
