Victoria Principal 'pulled pistol' on maid

Dallas star shows Naomi how it's done

Move over Naomi Campbell: Former Dallas star Victoria Principal has demonstrated just how to deal with unsatisfactory domestic staff by allegedly pulling a pistol on her maid.

The unfortunate lackey, Maribel Banegas, apparently incurred the wrath of the 59-year-old thespiatrix after taking too long to walk her dog (a "Shih Tzu-type breed called Mei-Ling", the Evening Standard helpfully notes).

Despite Banegas's protest that the delay in returning to Principal's Malibu pad was because the mutt wouldn't do its "business", she was given her marching orders. When she asked for her wages, Principal simply "went upstairs and came back with a gun in her hand".

The actress then "allegedly aimed the weapon at Banegas and threatened to kill her, even asking another housekeeper who was in the room to step aside so that she could shoot Banegas".

The terrified domestic swiftly locked herself in another room and called the cops. Before they arrived to restore order, Principal allegedly "stood outside the door all the while, continuing to make threats".

Cue the obligatory lawsuit, with Bangas claiming "assault, false imprisonment and emotional distress" and demanding "lost wages and unspecified damages".

The Evening Standard's capsule biog of Principal (Dallas from 1978 to 1987, divorced in 2006 from second hubby, plastic surgeon Harry Glassman) contains one interesting fact: The pistol-packing board-treader is currently in training to take a ride with Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic. Presumably she'll be frisked at security prior to blast-off to avoid a "customer-provoked depressurisation event" should the jaunt prove longer than she can tolerate. ®
