Knight Rider satnav delivery wobbles off course

Launch date push back to next month

Michael and KITT have suffered a setback that’s prevented the Knight Rider-themed satnav from hitting the shops on time.

It was originally thought that the much-hyped GPS gadget would appear – in the US at least – sometime this month. But according to Amazon.com, the Knight Rider satnav now won’t make its first outing until 24 September.

A launch date’s never been announced for UK punters, but if you were thinking of ordering one from a US-based supplier, such as Amazon, then you’ll know have to wait a few more weeks before you can step into the car and be greeted by “Hello, Michael, where would you like to go today”

On the plus side, the satnav’s price hasn’t changed - it still costs $269 (€182/£144).
