Bruiser Prescott v. The Egg

More election-based online fun

John Prescott's pugilistic prowess has been the toast of the nation and inspired a fair few games. One of the best has to be this one from Rancon.co.uk.

You control Two Jabs as he strolls purposefully past voters. Voters pass either side of Prezza and you need to hit the left or right button to shoot out a fist and make contact. But beware! Eggs will fly out at a pace and hit you - the only chance is to hit the spacebar in time and duck to avoid a good yoking.

Get hit three times and the game's over. Oh, and try to avoid hitting Labour supporters.

Rancon has done well because it was made the game fairly difficult but simple to play. Our only annoyance is that the eggs come so fast that it's simply a matter of luck, rather than skill if you manage to duck to avoid one.

If that wasn't enough to keep you from your paid work for a couple of hours, Freeserve - Britain's biggest French ISP - has got into the full swing of the election by releasing a politically-based egg-chucking game.

To be honest - it sucks. But it's worth a go just to splat Tony Blur, William Vague and Charles Comedy.

The idea is that they and their colleagues are giving a speech and you splat the ones you don't want to vote for. The one with the least egg on their faces gets to become PM.

Thankfully, we're told at the end of the egg fight: "No members of Parliament were harmed during the making of Trigger Happy MPs. Freeserve would like to stress that only non-GM free range eggs were deployed during this game."

Wit, they name is Le Freeswerve. Ooh la la. ®
